Beverage Metrics is a Dallas based company focused on bringing real-time beverage management and inventory tracking to bars and events.
The company claims that up to 25% of a typical bars inventory ends up disappearing during normal operations. By harnessing a combination of wireless sensors and RFID tags attached to bottles and pour spouts the company wants to provide owners and managers a more accurate account of where the liquid is actually ending up.
A cloud backend system is updated in real-time with each pour and can send out alerts, highlight activity, and create a record of consumption by event, employee, or by specific product type. This data can be merged with a bar or restaurants existing POS system so a manager can see which particular pour was matched to actual sales and customer charges.
