TracoVino: Connected Vineyard

TracoVino is an Internet of Things solution from Nuremberg based MyOmega that supports winemakers to improve the quality of their wines, optimize workflows and to monitor vineyards remotely.

The company currently has trials in four Moselle valley vineyards in Germany. The hardware installations consists of a solar powered sensor platform and a controller and sensor platform that measure weather variables and solar Intensity alongside soil humidity and temperature, (Additional sensors for leaf wetness, soil PH values and nutrient levels are also available).

The winemakers benefit from receiving alerts, are given the ability to remotely control water valves, and receive predictive analysis based on to help them determining optimal times for fertilization and the use of pesticides or any diseases before they occur.
