Currently raising funds on Kickstarter, GearEye is a system first targeting professional photographers as a way to keep track of expensive gear using RFID stickers alongside a reader in the form of a standalone dongle or cell phone case.
The GearTags are battery free and use adhesive to apply them on almost any surface. The system doesn’t just rely on RFID but also uses your phone’s accelerometer and gyroscope to understand where the items are located with higher precision.
The app lets you setup lists of items so that it can sync your bag against your required inventory.
