relayr Acquires Proximetry

relayr, a Berlin based Enterprise Internet-of-Things platform provider, has announced the acquisition of Proximetry to beef up their Industrial IoT initiatives.

Made possible in part by relayr’s $23M Series B investment in Nov of 2016 the addition will grow relayr’s global team by more than 50 people, and add offices in San Diego where Proximetry was based and Katowice, Poland.

Proximetry had raised a total of $7.6M in 3 rounds since its founding in 2005. Customers include device developers and OEMs, chipset partners and enterprise network operators managing demanding IoT solutions for smart utilities, smart cities, building management, industrial process control, and transportation.
