IoT Week Massachusetts

Will highlight innovation, security, and technologies for a world of connected objects

IoT Week Boston kicks off today--not just in Beantown but across the entire Bay State, thanks to a recent proclamation by Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the festivities, which start this afternoon with the IoT Olympiad, a 48-hour competition run by Hack the Hackathon. Developers will be challenged with a variety of themes that ask them to apply sensing and data technologies to marine ecosystems, supply chains, and healthcare.

Other events include the Security of Things Forum and RFIDexpo, both on May 7. The forum will highlight the challenges and opportunities for security on the Internet of Things, while RFIDexpo will showcase auto-identification and sensing technologies. Rounding out the week is the NFC Bootcamp, a training program about near field communication, on May 8-9.
